Zoom Event: Conversation with Sir Graham Brady MP

Sir Graham Brady has been the MP for Altrincham and Sale West since 1997 and the Chairman of the 1922 Committee of backbench Conservative MP

About this Event We are excited to present to you our next In Conservation series of events with parliamentarians. We are inviting to join us in conversation with Sir Graham Brady on 23 November (Monday) at 7pm.

Sir Graham Brady has been the MP for Altrincham and Sale West since 1997 and the Chairman of the 1922 Committee of backbench Conservative MPs since 2010.

The 1922 Committee is the principal conduit for communication between Conservative MPs and the Prime Minister and Conservative Ministers and advises the Prime Minister on the mood of the party whilst ensuring that Ministers have an opportunity to speak to colleagues and to listen to their views on policy. Sir Graham is well known to be independent-minded and a champion of state grammar schools, having resigned from the front bench in 2007 to campaign in support of selective education. He was awarded ‘Backbencher of the Year’ by The Spectator in 2010.

Recently Sir Graham has been vocal in his opposition against new Covid restriction. This event will be a perfect opportunity for members of our community to speak to Sir Graham and ask him questions.

If you have any question for Sir Graham, please email admin@conservativefriendsofthechinese.co.uk prior to the day of the event. We will do our best to fit as many questions as we can.
