Oxford Road, Altrincham, on the edge of Bowdon Ward, has been the centre of quite a bit of activity. Partly re-surfaced, with new drains fitted and a speed awareness sign, the busy one-way street is looking quite different.
The works also included a refresh of the yellow lines and the addition of many new bollards to deter irresponsible and illegal parking. A scheme of tree planting is due to follow before Spring. Inconsiderate and illegal parking blights the street at times so more measures will seek to address this issue. The emerging Oxford Road will be a better street for its residents.
Bowdon candidate Dr Shengke Zhi said "Potholes are dangerous to both motorists and cyclists and we want people to have safe everyday travel. Conservatives are committed to fixing the roads and we need your help to identify the problem spots. We commit to fixing potholes across Bowdon."
