Coronavirus: Bin Collection in Trafford

Please find the latest advice for the waste collection service. With our resources stretched, please note that side waste is not accepted at this time.      Advice on collections Place your scheduled grey, blue or black bins out for collection as normal (check your bin collection calendar) Green bins will not be collected for the time being. You should leave existing waste in the bin. You can put food waste in your grey bin. For the time being you should not put garden waste in your green bin. Until further notice compostable bags will not be delivered. Food waste should go straight into your grey bin   Only contact us to report a missed collection of your grey, black and blue bins. Bulky collections: no new bookings are being taken until further notice. If you have already booked and paid for a collection, it will still take place as scheduled. New bin deliveries: we are still delivering all new bin requests, and are prioritising grey bins for delivery. There is a delay on all other waste containers. You should book and pay for your new bin online. We are not able to take payments over the phone. The delivery of new grey bins is being prioritised to those who need a new or replacement bin or those who meet the criteria for a larger bin (either due to illness or because they have 5 or more permanent residents living at the address). Protect your bin crews: do not place used tissues in your blue bin. If anyone in your household has a suspected or confirmed case of coronavirus, put all used tissues and cleaning cloths in a rubbish bag. These bags should be placed into another bag, tied securely and kept separate from other waste. After 72 hours, the bag should be placed in your grey bin. Following government advice, the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) has taken the decision to close all Household Waste Recycling Centres (tips) including the two in Trafford. Details can be found on our Disposal sites page.
