2019 January

Listen to our residents' voice on road repair and resurface.

I visited Craven Road on 5 Jan and found out that the conditions of the Craven Road is so poor that it needs a repair ASAP.

Working with Councillor Stephen Anstee, we have asked the Labour Council to inspect Craven Road. I am working on lobbying the council to include Craven Road in their 2019/2020 plans to improve the area.

I revisit the Craven Road on 26 Jan and pledged to ask residents to join my petition on Craven Road resurfacing.

The Labour council have released a list of roads that are to be resurfaced in the coming months. However, Craven Road and many other roads in poor condition in Broadheath, Sale and West Timperley have not been included. (The full list of current roads that are to be resurfaced are available here www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/potholes-f… )

It was disappointed. I pledge to ask for each road reported to me to be properly inspected and assessed by the Council's highways teams!

Tell me what roads you want to see resurfaced or repaired.

Community Safety and Crime Issues

It was shocking to know that armed robbers escape with cash in raid at the Washway Road's Co-op on 7 Feb. Crime issues become critical in our local area and many residents don’t feel safe.

Tell me your views on crime and community safety in your local area! As your council candidate, I want residents feel safer.

I want to ensure all CCTV cameras are fully functional and introduce new ones where they are most needed, and to highlight crime issues by introducing local joint surgery sessions with residents and the police. I also want to see more Neighbourhood Watches in the area, so we can come together as a community to help tackle crime together.

10 Downing Street

I am honoured and was pleased to be invited to No 10 for a Chinese New Year Reception. It was great to see many old friends, colleagues and volunteers from across British Chinese community.
